Well, it turns out he’s been working on an incredible new project that fans will want to pay attention to.
On April 30, fans of the legendary actor learned he was doing something special to celebrate his 100th birthday. Dick announced on Instagram his plans to release a new memoir about how he’s able to keep his zest for life. Titled 100 Rules for Living to 100: An Optimist’s Guide to a Happy Life, the book is set to be released on November 18, 2025. And if that wasn’t enough, folks can pre-order the book online right now.
“As Dick Van Dyke’s 100th birthday approaches, he’s sharing his experiences and life lessons on growing older while keeping that inner child thriving too,” the caption read. “100 Rules for Living to 100 is out for preorder now!”
When fans discovered the unique way Dick was celebrating his centennial birthday, they were so excited to see this project come to life.

While Dick has been open about many elements of his iconic Hollywood career, what will 100 Rules for Living to 100 be about? According to the publisher’s website, the memoir will explore Dick’s secrets for how he’s so upbeat and approaches life “with the twinkle in his eye” everyone knows and loves. He’ll also share tips on staying physically healthy, being continuously positive and more through stories of his life from childhood to now.
