CARBON COUNTY — The final Price City Culture Connection concert of the summer will feature Carbon County Fair Battle of the Bands winner Derm, scheduled for Thursday evening in historic Helper. The performance will also kick off the annual Helper Arts Festival.
Derm, a rock band from Springville, earned the spot after winning Carbon County’s fair Battle of the Bands earlier this summer with a set of original music.
CJ McManus, a judge during the Battle of the Bands, said the judges appreciated the band’s originality and stage presence, adding, “They’re gonna be perfect at the Helper Arts Fest.”
The Helper Arts Festival features artists, vendors and live performances throughout the weekend and draws attendees from across the region.
Thursday’s show, the final Culture Connection of the season, begins at 7 p.m.
The concert is free and open to the public.
