The College of Southern Idaho unveils a new Transportation Technology Center, consolidating diesel programs and boosting dual-credit courses.
TWIN FALLS, Idaho — The College of Southern Idaho held a ceremonial ribbon-cutting on Friday to mark the completion of its new Transportation Technology Center.
The new center at the college’s Twin Falls campus will host both the Heavy Equipment Ag Technology and Diesel Technology programs. According to the college, both diesel-related programs will now be held in one building, creating a space to better serve students.
“The completion of this new facility has given us the ability to bring our diesel-related programs together under one roof,” said CSI President Dr. L. Dean Fisher. “It provides a state-of-the-art lab space for those students as well as our dual credit students, which further strengthens our relationship with the Twin Falls School District and their commitment to training the next generation in these in-demand careers.”
The 28,000-square-foot center will also support expanded dual credit collaboration with the Twin Falls School District.
Classes in the new building begin on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
