The Gering School Board is seeking to fill a recently announced vacancy.
In a letter dated May 19, Brian Copsey announced he was stepping down from his position effective this past Sunday.
Copsey said he made the decision due to increased work travel, business changes requiring more of his time and a desire to spend more time with family, especially with the addition of two more grandchildren.
The Board accepted the letter in a special meeting Tuesday, and will now be accepting applications to fill the post from May 28 through June 11, with more details available online at GeringSchools.net.
