HAGERSTOWN – On Saturday, Sept. 28, the YMCA of Hagerstown held the annual Color Splash 5K race. Benefiting the Healthy Eating, Active Lifestyles program at the YMCA, this was considered a “fun run” with no competitive nature.
Participants walked, ran and jogged around Fairgrounds Park where splash stations released colored powder on those passing. Included in the ticket price, participants received white Color Splash t-shirts to wear and medals at the end of the run.
Once everyone crossed the finish line, a huge Color Splash covered everyone in celebration of completing the 5k. Uniting people with varying fitness backgrounds, this race brought pride and celebration to all involved.
