WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCSC) – On Thursday, Colleton County High School hosted a career fair for its students. It was hosted by the CCHS Global Career Department and the Jobs for American Graduates organization.
Live 5 News was among 48 different businesses to attend the fair in the high school gymnasium.
The event allowed students from 9th-12th grade to chat with prospective employers and learn more about various career fields.

Welding jobs, the medical field, and the military seemed to be the top interests of upperclassman students.
Jasmine Thomas and Romeo Edwards are both Global Career Development Facilitator’s for CCHS. They said, in a statement, that the vendors helped introduce students to various career paths and college options while also highlighting local employment opportunities.
“The event encouraged students to explore new interests and envision their future careers,” Thomas and Edwards said.
Edwards added that they look forward to hosting the event again next year.
