CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WKBT) — Chippewa Falls schools got better scores on Wisconsin’s annual report card released Tuesday, earning 70.6 points out of 100.
The school district improved by 3.6 points from last year and kept its three-star “Meets Expectations” rating. The district is now just 0.4 points away from earning four stars.
Student test scores jumped from 60.9 to 67.3 points. The number of students on track to graduate also went up from 83.4 to 86.3 points.
“This progress shows how hard our teachers work and how much our community supports us,” said Superintendent Jeff Holmes. “We’re really proud of how we’re helping all our students do better.”
The improvements come as the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction implemented new scoring standards this year, making the district’s progress more notable according to school officials.
