A first of its kind celebration honoring the wide variety of heritages and cultures will be held this week in Scottsbluff.
Empowering Families will be hosting the inaugural Panhandle Multicultural Festival this Friday from 6 to 9:30 P.M. at the 18th Street Plaza.
Valeria Rodriguez says this free event aims to celebrate the beauty of our community’s cultures.
“This will be a evening of celebrating the diverse cultures in our community, from our Germans, from Russia, Japanese-American and Mexican-American. We’re going to have hoop dancing from our Lakota community members. So every ethnic group that makes up our community is going to be featured in this event.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and enjoy a variety of cultural performances, booths with traditional food samples, crafts, activities, and more.
