Zionsville, (WISH-TV)- You can now make all-natural candles in Zionsville.
Cedar Creek Candles & Gifts has opened their second location in Indiana.
The company is originally based out of Leo, Indiana.
After seeing great success at their original location, Owner Sam Lairson said it was time to grow their business.
“We started in 1999, and my mom was a single parent looking to make some extra income,” said Lairson. “She had three girls and soy wax had just come on the market, so she found the science behind making a clean candle.”
She said they’re so excited to now be located in the heart of Zionsville.
The shop offers a variety of candles and candle-making workshops.
“We have about 362 scents we make a year and we’re always adding more,” said Lairson. “I have about 50 new ones that we’ve added for the holiday season that I didn’t have last year.”
“In the workshops we have about 85 different fragrances,” said Lairson. “You can mix and match up to three.”
First the customer will pick which scents and vessel they want.
Lairson says candle making is a great family-friendly activity.
Customers are welcome to bring their vessels back if they choose to make another candle.
