ST. CLOUD — Career Solutions on Tuesday, Jan. 13, received $350,000 as part of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development’s latest round of grants.
Those funds come from DEED’s
Bridge to Career Pathways program,
which “targets individuals seeking to improve skills or obtain new skills to earn an industry-recognized credential, in an industry that is identified in demand within their region,” according to the department.
Career Solutions, formerly known as Stearns-Benton Employment and Training Council, is “dedicated to helping the Stearns and Benton County community grow by meeting the workforce needs of businesses and job seekers now and in the future,” according to the organization’s
In total, DEED announced $17.3 million for workforce grants to 59 organizations. The funds are expected to serve more than 3,500 people.
“The grants announced today will provide countless development resources and opportunities for Minnesotans seeking job training, skills education and industry-recognized certifications,” DEED Deputy Commissioner Marc Majors said in a statement. “DEED’s partnership with our grantees will create long lasting, positive impact on thousands of Minnesotans lives.”

Friends of Career Solutions, a not-for-profit organization that collaborates with Career Solutions on workforce programs serving youth and immigrants, received $400,000 in 2024 to train workers for high-demand employment.
