Cardi B is speaking out about the financial and emotional strain she claims she’s endured while raising her three children without Offset’s support. During a candid appearance on X Spaces Friday, the Grammy-winning artist accused her estranged husband of neglecting his responsibilities as both a father and provider for the past year.
The Bronx native, born Belcalis Almánzar, shares daughters Kulture, 6, Blossom, 8 months, and son Wave, 3, with Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus. She says she spends hundreds of thousands annually to maintain their lifestyles—expenses she claims she’s paid alone.
Cardi detailed just how costly raising their children has become. The kids have a dedicated driver retained for $10,000 a month who handles daily school runs and extracurriculars.
Tuition, she said, is another major cost: Kulture’s school fees are $45,000 a year, and Wave’s are $35,000. Offset, she alleged, hasn’t paid a cent.
The rapper also revealed that childcare expenses continue to mount. Her cousin, who helps as a weekly babysitter, is paid $3,000 weekly. Blossom’s full-time nanny earns $500 per day.
Both older children receive tutoring four times a week at $250 per hour. Kulture’s weekly piano lessons cost $300 an hour. Cardi says she covers it all.
Even basic needs, like meals, are outsourced. Cardi employs a personal chef from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to feed the kids and household—another expense she says she handles without help.
Security has become essential, too. After receiving threats against Kulture, she says she pays for 24/7 protection at her home.
Offset, she added, hasn’t just failed financially—he’s also been absent physically. “You’ve only seen Blossom five times,” Cardi claimed, adding that his last visit was in March. She says she’s offered him access to the children, but he hasn’t shown interest.
Cardi filed for divorce in 2024 for the second time after nearly seven years of marriage. Offset has requested joint custody and spousal support.
Cardi, now reportedly dating NFL star Stefon Diggs, says Offset’s demands contrast sharply with his lack of involvement.
