BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A new campaign encourages Baton Rouge families to eat more fruits and vegetables one meal at a time.
The campaign from the Pennington Biomedical Research Center suggested ways to get fruits and vegetables in the diet, including smoothies, sliced vegetables for a healthy snack, adding an extra serving of vegetables on the plate, and replacing dessert with fruit.
The center said small changes and healthier choices can make a big difference.
