What’s On: Your Monthly Guide to Arts & Culture in the Bozeman Area — September 2025.

September bursts with live music, art, theatre, and outdoor fun — plenty to keep you inspired all month long.

Highlights

Eagle Mount 2025 Summer Concert featuring Lost Canyons, Madeline Hawthorne, and The Dead & Down on Sept. 4 at the Eagle Mount Amphitheater, 6901 Goldenstein Lane. Tickets at eaglemount.org/events/

Bozeman Symphony kicks off its 58th season, Music that Moves Us … to Join Together, with Sounds of America I: Marsalis & Rachmaninoff on Sept. 20–21 at the Willson Auditorium. Rising star violinist Hannah Ji joins the orchestra for Marsalis’ Violin Concerto, alongside Rachmaninoff’s dazzling Symphonic Dances. Tickets: bozemansymphony.org.

Random Acts of Silliness brings back its whimsical fairy village, Bumblewood Thicket, Sept. 5–21 at Glen Lake Rotary Park. Wander the self-guided, family-friendly trail daily, or visit on Saturday evenings to enjoy live dance, music, and storytelling from local artists. Free, randomactsofsilliness.com

Westside Jam, a brand-new family-friendly music festival, debuts Saturday, Sept. 6, at The Market, 730 Boardwalk. Starting at 3 p.m., enjoy an all-Montana Americana lineup, plus local food, a beer garden, and kids’ activities. Proceeds benefit Thrive programs. Info: onecau.se/westsidejam.

Art

Bozeman Art Museum opens New Frontiers: Contemporary, Abstract & Digital Art with a reception Sept. 12. The exhibit explores abstraction and digital media, on view through Dec. 13. bozemanartmuseum.org

Downtown Bozeman Art Walk wraps up the summer season Sept. 12. More than 35 businesses host local artists with receptions, refreshments, and live music.

From soaking tunes at Bozeman Hot Springs to bluegrass at Pine Creek Lodge and big-name acts at The Elm and Brick Breeden Fieldhouse, September is packed with sound.

Bozeman Hot Springs, 81123 Gallatin Road in Four Corners, offers live music on Thursday and Sunday evenings from 7-10 p.m.

• Sept. 4: Brian Kassay loops together multiple different instruments for an enchanting folk mixture

• Sept. 7: Roadrunner — A Jerry Garcia Tribute plays everyone’s favorite tunes from Jerry Garcia

• Sept. 11: Willy on the Wire brings their takes of classic songs from rock, blues, soul, and funk

• Sept. 18: Edwin Johnson performing an array of genres such as pop, rock, blues, country, and jazz

• Sept. 21: Blackwater Railroad Co. bordering bluegrass and saxophone-driven roots-rock

• Sept. 28: STiLGONE fuses elements of multiple different genres spanning funk, soul, hip hop, and reggae

Bozeman Symphonic Choir invites the public to a free open rehearsal on Monday, Sept. 8, from 7-9 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 2152 W. Graf.

An ensemble of Bozeman Symphony string musicians will present a Far Afield concert in Pony on Sept. 6, just before Montana Shakespeare in the Parks’ production of As You Like It. Director Norman Huynh will preview the upcoming season at a free talk on Sept. 10 at Hillcrest Senior Living, 1201 Highland Blvd. Classical guitarist Nora Spielman and New York Times best-selling author and NPR podcast host Kelly Corrigan will present Symphony Storytime at the Bozeman Public Library on Sept. 17.
