VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN)—Brandon and Amber Davis, founders of Binnacle Education Group, are on a mission to help families navigate the often overwhelming journey toward higher education. Launched just last year, their organization supports students and parents through the college and trade school admissions process, with additional services including resume building, interview preparation, and scholarship searches.
This summer, Binnacle Education Group is bringing its expertise to the Hinds Community College – Vicksburg Campus with Pathway to College: Admissions, Aid, & Action, a dynamic three-part workshop series designed for students in the classes of 2026 and 2027. Parents of freshmen and sophomores are also encouraged to attend, as the sessions will include valuable tools and insights to help families plan ahead.
The sessions will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM (check-in at 3:30 PM) at the George Oakes Building on June 5, June 26, and July 10, 2025. Each workshop is $30 and will cover essential topics including decoding the college admissions process, mastering financial aid and scholarships, and creating a personalized college planning timeline. Participants will engage in hands-on activities and walk away with take-home resources and actionable steps.
