BELGRADE, Mont. – The Belgrade School District is preparing for an election on May 6 to vote on operational levies and school board trustees. The elementary district is seeking $100,000 while the high school district aims for $65,000.
Superintendent Dede Semerad emphasized the importance of these funds, stating that “high-quality education requires excellent teachers and staff” and that the district needs to “increase salaries to stay competitive in the local market.”
In addition to the levy vote, residents will elect four trustees, one for a one-year position and others for three-year terms. This election is crucial for maintaining and improving the quality of education in Belgrade.
