ERIE, Pa. — More than 1,400 students attended Penn State Behrend’s fall Career and Internship Fair, which featured recruiters from more than 165 companies, including Bayer, Bausch & Lomb and Exxon Mobil.
Representatives of Erie Insurance Group, Acutec Precision Aerospace, Rehrig Pacific and the Federal Resources Corp. also attended.
The program, held in the college’s Erie Hall, is the largest career fair in the region. It is open to all students in Erie County and to students and alumni of any Penn State campus.
More than 50 students from other Erie County colleges attended.
“What sets us apart is the fact that our students have enough employer feedback throughout their entire college careers that they are ready to hit the ground running with a lot of experience behind them,” said Amy Bridger, assistant dean for innovation and corporate strategy. “Employers like to get in early with our students, so by the time students are looking for employment full time, upon graduation, they already have knowledge about these companies.”
