According to a recent report from El País, it has come to light that Barcelona are growing increasingly concerned over Dani Olmo’s persistent fitness issues, as the club struggles to identify the root cause behind his repeated injuries.
Despite the midfielder’s exemplary professionalism and discipline, his physical problems have become a serious puzzle for the coaching and medical staff.
Those within the club admit their confusion, saying of his situation, “It would be normal if he weren’t a professional… but he takes care of himself in every way.”
A complete professional
Indeed, Olmo is known for his strict lifestyle and dedication to maintaining peak condition.
The report highlights that the Spanish international follows a strict diet and travels with a personal chef, even during holidays.
His commitment extends well beyond the training pitch, as he continues his workout routines in the evenings and ensures adequate rest to recover properly.

Yet despite this effort, something appears to be missing both for Olmo personally and for Barcelona collectively.
Need to do something different
The club acknowledges that not every fitness or recovery method suits every player, reflecting: “It worked with Pedri, but it may not suit others.”
Barcelona’s medical department has been stretched thin this season, with the squad already suffering 15 injuries, 12 of which are muscular.
That is triple the number recorded at the same stage last year.
