Halloween in Athens Family Activities
Organized by the Athens Community Arts, Parks & Recreation Department 1:00 pm — 4:00 pm
- Music at the Stage Featuring DJ Rockin’ Reggie | Face-painting | Kids Bouldering Wall
- Musical Petting Zoo | Uptown Scavenger Hunt | Arts & Crafts
- Children’s Costume Parade | Athens County Public Library Bookmobile
- Athens County Children’s Services Games & Activities | Rural Action
- Athens County Humane Society | Ohio Army National Guard Military Vehicle
- Athens Fire Department Fire Safety Trailer | Athens Police Department Police Cruiser
Athens Uptown Business Trick or Treat 2:30 pm — 4:30 pm
- Visit Participating Uptown Businesses for Trick or Treat Goodies
- Located on Court Street, West State Street, Washington Street, & Union Street
- Honey for the Heart Halloween Parade
- 5:00 pm — 6:00 pm
- Gather at Central Venue on Carpenter Street to participate prior to parade start
Parade begins at Court/Carpenter intersection and travels to the stage at Court/Union Street, then returns to Court/Carpenter
- Honey for the Heart Dance/Concert at Central Venue Immediately Following the Parade
Evening Block Party 5:45 pm — 12:30 amA staple of the festival scene, Hellnaw, will headline Athens Halloween this year.
Other acts will include Denver Deep and Progressive House Producer/DJ Discognition djing with B-Funk to close the night. Party Rocker DJ KAYC, prog-punk band from Columbus, Cellar Dwellar, Producer/DJ Nico PS, 80s Cover Band Nakatoni Danza, and an artist showcase from Ohio University based Brick City Records featuring Jillian Kay, singer/songwriter, Riley James, jazz rock from Plant Clones, and rapper, J-tolb fill out the line up.
Stage is located on Court Street between Union Street and Washington Street
Limited parking is available on the street and in the Athens Parking Garage.
