The Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game is about to be even more entertaining!
On Thursday, November 28, Lainey Wilson will take the stage for The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show during the Cowboys vs. Giants game.
“It’s an honor to follow in the footsteps of legendary performers like my friend Dolly Parton, The Jonas Brothers, and Reba to kick off The Salvation Army’s iconic Red Kettle Campaign,” Lainey said in a statement. “Join me at the Red Kettle this Christmas season because we truly can do more good when we come together to serve those in need in our communities.”
The Red Kettle Campaign is a massive, long-running fund-raising campaign that highlights the reason for the season: giving back. For 28 years, the Cowboys have teamed up with The Salvation Army to shed light on and raise funds for people across the country struggling to make ends meet during the holiday season and beyond.
“Performers like Lainey Wilson represent the next generation of role models for so many,” said Charlotte Jones, chief brand officer and co-owner of the Dallas Cowboys and former national advisory board chairperson for The Salvation Army. “We are so thankful to have her energy and enthusiasm on our national stage this year to highlight the Red Kettle Kickoff and the importance of giving back to those who need it most.”
As the most-watched regular season game of the year—with 42 million viewers last year alone—the Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game and its iconic halftime show has what it takes to garner awareness and support for a cause that affects folks all over the country. Since its inception, The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign, with help from the Dallas Cowboys and the Kickoff Halftime Show, has raised more than $3 billion to support those in need.
”The Dallas Cowboys and the Gene and Jerry Jones Family Foundation have been devoted partners of The Salvation Army for nearly 30 years in our shared mission to take care of the most vulnerable in our communities,” Commissioner Kenneth G. Hodder, national commander of The Salvation Army in the United States, said in a statement. “And a performance by such a celebrated artist as Lainey Wilson is the most wonderful way to kick off this important season of giving.”

Could not be more excited,” Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader Charly Barby commented on the announcement post. “She’ll be the best part about that game,” one fan exclaimed. “Omgeeeee!!!! @laineywilson You’re such a baddie!!!!
