This Health Brand Is Said To Be A Game-Changer For Busy Professionals — But Is It? – Essence

This Health Brand Is Said To Be A Game-Changer For Busy Professionals — But Is It?

Let’s get real for a minute.

As busy professionals (raising my hand as an elderly millennial), we’re always looking for a solution that will keep us energized, focused, and somehow still thriving while we’re building our empires. That is of course, besides rest, exercise and healthy eating — which should obviously be the priority. And because I’m willing to try anything at least once, it has put me on a path of trying out a lot of different products until I’ve found the ones that have and will keep me on my game.

So when I first heard about Clean Simple Eats, I’ll admit, I was skeptical. Another health food brand promising that they’re better than all the rest? Been there, done that. But after giving it a shot (and, spoiler alert: it’s not all sunshine and rainbows), I’ve got some thoughts to share.

First, a little background: Clean Simple Eats isn’t just another faceless corporation jumping on the health bandwagon. It was founded by Erika and JJ Peterson, a dynamic duo of nutrition specialists and fitness enthusiasts. Their mission? To revolutionize clean eating. They’re big believers in the idea that a delicious, macro-balanced diet is the key to achieving sustainable health goals. It’s a noble cause, especially in our world of quick fixes and crash diets.

Clean Simple Eats has positioned itself as more than just a protein powder company. They’ve developed a whole line of clean, all-natural protein powders and supplements, proudly touting their lack of artificial ingredients. According to them, their products are packed with vitamins and nutrients designed to nourish and fuel your body. It’s a compelling pitch, especially for us always-on-the-go types who often prioritize convenience over nutrition.

But here’s the million-dollar question: Does Clean Simple Eats live up to its own hype? Well, like most things in life, it’s complicated.

Let’s start with their protein powder, the cornerstone of their product line. In a world of chalky, gag-inducing shakes, Clean Simple Eats is like a breath of fresh air. It mixes well, tastes amazing (let’s not get carried away – it’s still protein powder), and doesn’t leave you with that weird, coated-mouth feeling. Is it going to replace your favorite milkshake? Of course not. But for a quick, post-workout fuel-up or a busy day meal replacement, it does the job without making you suffer. And if I’m being all the way honest, it’s probably the best protein powder that I’ve tasted on the market.

Now, onto their super collagen mix. I usually think of these powders as just another beauty fad, but to my shock and surprise – I actually noticed a difference. Not only was it tasty, my skin seemed a bit more glow-y, and my nails were definitely stronger. But here’s the kicker: consistency is key. Miss a few days, and you’re back to square one. It’s not a miracle worker, but it’s a nice addition if you’re already into whole body wellness.

Let’s address the elephant in the room: their protein pancake mix. If you’re expecting the fluffy, buttery goodness of IHOP, you’re in for a rude awakening. These aren’t your grandma’s pancakes, folks. They’re denser, a bit grainier, and definitely taste “healthy.” That said, if you adjust your expectations and think of them more as a protein-packed breakfast option rather than an indulgent treat, they’re actually pretty good. A little maple syrup — or in my case, sugar free syrup — goes a long way here.

One thing I really appreciate about Clean Simple Eats is their meal plans. As someone who’s idea of cooking is ordering takeout, having simple, quick recipes that actually taste good is a game-changer. They’re not gourmet, but they’re doable, even for kitchen novices like yours truly.

The ingredient list is another plus. No weird additives or sneaky sugars. It’s refreshing, even if it means some of their products might not taste as indulgent as their less healthy counterparts.

Now, let’s talk about price. Clean Simple Eats isn’t cheap, and that might be a deal-breaker for some. It’s an investment, and whether it’s worth it depends on how much you value convenience and nutrition in your busy life. For me, the time saved on meal prep and the peace of mind knowing I’m not totally wrecking my health makes it worthwhile, but your mileage may vary.

Here’s the bottom line: Clean Simple Eats isn’t a miracle solution to all your nutrition woes. It’s a tool, and like any tool, its effectiveness depends on how you use it. If you’re expecting it to transform you into a superhuman overnight, you’ll be disappointed. But if you’re looking for a way to make healthy eating a bit easier in your chaotic life, it’s worth a shot.

So, fellow hustlers, here’s my take: Clean Simple Eats has its pros and cons. It’s not perfect, but in the world where every little edge counts, it might just be the support your nutrition game needs. Just remember, no protein powder or meal plan can replace good old-fashioned hard work and maybe, just maybe, the occasional real pancake. Balance, right?
