The Indiana Department of Education is distributing $15 million to 21 organizations statewide to expand resources that help students make informed post-graduation decisions.
Gov. Mike Braun highlighted the significance of the Career Coaching Grant, stating it supports students in exploring future career options and prepares them for high-demand, well-paying jobs.
The Indiana General Assembly passed Senate Enrolled Act 365 – 2025, which directs the IDOE to allocate these funds through the career coaching grant fund. Despite a tight budget, this initiative aims to maximize support across the most counties. The number of applicants increased by 37 percent this year, with over $45 million requested.
“Our primary purpose in K-12 education is to ensure every student graduates prepared for what’s next,” said Dr. Katie Jenner, Indiana Secretary of Education. She emphasized the grant’s role in providing individualized career coaching to help students identify their goals and develop plans to achieve them.
