Some area schools are closed Dec. 15 or on a delay because of frigid temperatures and icy roadways.
Stark County schools are in session.
According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, the temperature in the early morning at the Akron-Canton Airport was 6 degrees with a light snow fog. The wind chill was 8 degrees below zero. Temperatures will rise to 21 degrees today with a wind chill of zero. Tonight, temperatures drop to around 13.
Districts closed Dec. 15 include:
- Carrollton Exempted Village
- Tuscarawas Valley
Area schools operating on a two-hour delay include:
- Dalton Local Schools
- Sebring Local Schools
- West Branch Local Schools
