The City of Albuquerque’s Department of Arts & Culture is accepting nominations for the 2026 Creative Bravos Awards. Since 1985, the awards have honored the artists, creatives, visionaries, and cultural stewards who shape our city’s identity. Recipients will be recognized during a ceremony at the Albuquerque Museum next Spring.
Nominations should be submitted no later than 4 p.m. MST on December 4, 2025, at https://tinyurl.com/4cu3kck4 or https://www.cabq.gov/artsculture/creative-bravos-awards. Self-nominations will not be considered.
The Creative Bravos Awards recognize artists, creatives, and cultural practitioners whose work contributes to Albuquerque’s aesthetic vitality and economic development. Since its inception, the awards have recognized more than 210 recipients who have contributed to the city’s vibrant creative tapestry – ranging from those who have dedicated their life to the arts to young creatives just starting out.
Rekindled and hosted annually by First Lady Elizabeth Kistin Keller and the Department of Arts & Culture since 2018, the Creative Bravos Awards celebrate the dynamic and diverse arts community that continues to enrich the City. The awards honor achievements in various categories, highlighting the exceptional creativity and dedication of local creators, cultural workers, and arts organizations.
