Darrah got her start in the publishing world interning at the international editorial press agency, Cool Hunt. In her position as Lifestyle Editor, she had the opportunity to write features and covers for international editions of leading women’s magazines, such as Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and others. Her writing spanned restaurant and hotel reviews to interviews with “Gossip Girl” actress-turned-musician Taylor Momsen, to Nobel Prize-winning author Doris Lessing. From there, she moved on to entertainment journalism.
Mentored by the late, legendary writer, editor, and publisher Jeffrey Jolson-Colburn—creator of HollywoodReporter.com, contributor to Rolling Stone, and founder of the leading entertainment news site Hollywood Today—Darrah Le Montre learned the art of entertainment journalism under his guidance.
Darrah and Anne, Editor-in-Chief of SW Newsmagazine, first collaborated at Hollywood Today and are thrilled to continue their creative journey together here at SW Newsmagazine.
From 2015-2018, she had a blog called, Follow Your Bliss, where she posted personal essays.
Darrah’s celebrity interviews include: Penelope Cruz, Woody Harrelson, Jack White, Jimmy Page, Evan Rachel Wood, Larry David, Kim Kardashian, Taylor Momsen, Cyndi Lauper, and others. Her byline has appeared in Hollywood Today, Suicide Girls, and in international editions of Esquire, Vogue, W, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Fashion, Diva and more.
