Highland Community College is set to host its annual Career Fair from 9 a.m. to noon on Nov. 12 at the Sports Center and YMCA, according to a community announcement.
The event, previously known as the “Job Fair,” aims to connect students and community members with local employers and explore pathways for career success. It is a collaborative effort between the college, Freeport School District #145 and the Greater Freeport Partnership.
The fair will feature more than 40 employers from various industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, government, agriculture, law enforcement, education and nonprofit services.
The event is free and open to the public. More than 500 attendees are expected, including high school students, Highland students and job seekers from across the region.
