(KNSI) – More than just a career fair, EPIC Student Day takes over St. Cloud Technical and Community College on Friday, October 24th.
EPIC stands for Exploring Potential Interests and Careers. The event will see 4,500 students from 40 high schools across the region get an in-depth look at what life is like in various career clusters. It features a range of real-world career environments, plus the chance to tackle job-related tasks and hear from professionals already in the field.
When the students leave for the day, they’ll know what skills and education achievements are required and also have an understanding of how that particular profession fits in the overall economy of the region.
EPIC Coordinator Emily Davis says, “EPIC is all about opening doors for students. Through hands-on experiences, they can see and try out careers in a way that inspires them to imagine their future-and our community is lucky to have such a supportive business network helping make that happen.”
