A former Colbert County Board of Education attorney has been arrested and charged with DUI as well as reckless endangerment after officers with the Haleyville Police Department observed him crossing the center line on Alabama State Highway 13 multiple times.
According to HPD, on the night of October 4, Jonathan Kyzer McGee was pulled over south of Haleyville by officers who quickly conducted a field sobriety test. Upon further investigation, police found a child in the vehicle.
McGee was reportedly cooperative with law enforcement at the time of the arrest. He was transported and booked into the Winston County Jail.
McGee reportedly resigned from his position as legal counsel for the Colbert County Board of Education in February 2025.
