PUNXSUTAWNEY — The Tuesday Career Woman of the Week is Meredith Moore, who has lived in Punxsutawney Borough a majority of her life and graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School in 2005.
“I lived in Pittsburgh for a bit, and my family’s here,” Moore said. “My parents are Tom and Susie Moore; they are known by a lot of people who live here.”
Moore said that she works in renewable energy, which is mainly solar and battery storage.
Punxsutawney Borough is starting a solar farm to be located next to the shooting range in Young Township.
“What I do in that realm is I manage a team that acquires land across the United States,” Moore said. “We’re in 20 states across the country right now, actively leasing from land owners, a lot of whom are farmers, people looking to diversify their income for years to come.”
