The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce recently released the 2025 Ohio School Report Cards, and it shows that Auburn Career Center has once again earned 5 stars, the highest rating possible, indicating that the Concord Township-based vocational school is “significantly exceeding state standards.”
According to the department, by focusing on student achievement and postsecondary readiness, the Ohio School Report Cards “reflect the state’s commitment to ensuring every student is equipped to succeed in school and beyond.”
Additionally, districts and schools receive overall ratings of 1 to 5 stars in half-star increments.
This year, more than 90 percent of districts earned ratings of three stars or higher, meeting or surpassing state performance expectations.
Each district and school’s overall rating is derived from ratings in six components: Achievement, Progress, Gap Closing, Early Literacy, Graduation, and College, Career, Workforce, and Military Readiness.
The latest rankings mark the third consecutive year that Auburn has achieved the top honor, “affirming its ongoing commitment to excellence in career and technical education.”
Superintendent Joe Glavan said the achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of staff, students, families, and partner districts.
“We are incredibly proud to see our efforts recognized at the state level,” he added, “and we remain committed to delivering high-quality education and skills that prepare students for real-world success.”
Auburn reported that 98 percent of students complete their high school education, and further noted that within six months of graduation, 98 percent of students are employed, enrolled in post-secondary education, or enlisted in the military.
Highlighting a “tradition of excellence,” school officials described the report card as “particularly meaningful,” as it demonstrates a “continued legacy of equipping students with industry-recognized credentials, in-demand skills, and the confidence to thrive beyond high school.”
