The workplace is changing, and at the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s (UNO) Future of Work Symposium, students and leaders explored how entrepreneurial thinking is driving that shift.

The Future of Work Symposium, themed “The Work Revolution: Redesigning Careers with an Entrepreneurial Approach,” drew professionals, students, and community leaders to UNO’s Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center (CEC) on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025.

Genevieve Custer Weeks, founder and CEO of Tutu School, delivered the keynote, sharing how entrepreneurial thinking can empower individuals to design fulfilling, sustainable careers.

A panel discussion featured local innovators: Alan Tipp (MTRLobjects), Emiliano Lerda (Elevator), April Hibbler (Nebraska Opportunity Exchange), and Rick Knutdson (Workshop).
