Monday felt like a Thursday in Dallas as the Cowboys prepare to kick off the season in Philadelphia in a few days, as they’ll try to knock off the reigning champs. As such, the first injury report of the season is out for both teams with designations for a few big names.
Cornerback Trevon Diggs and tackle Tyler Guyton received great news regarding their injuries, so now getting in game shape is the final hurdle between them and seeing action vs the Eagles. Newcomer Perrion Winfrey may not be able to join the party and debut for Dallas, but receiver George Pickens answered, “I’m ready” as his reply when asked about the Eagles.
Fans are still digesting the Micah Parsons trade, and now learned that the newest Packer may not have been lying about the seriousness of his back injury. The quest to replace him starts internally in Dallas, but could end up looking outside, so we haev five names the team could be interested in.
Kickoff can now reasonably be counted in hours but the status of Eagles guard Landon Dickerson came back into question after a new injury kept him out of practice. Staying on the injury front, Philadelphia wideout A.J. Brown dealt with a hamstring all of training camp didn’t appear on the initial report. He and the NFL’s newest top-ranked player Saquon Barkley will be ready to roll.
