Classical High School in Providence was ranked by U.S. News & World Report as the top public high school in Rhode Island this year. But what other schools made the top of the list?
Just about 18,000 high schools across the nation were ranked by the American media company for its 2025 to 2026 “best schools” list.
And 58 public high schools in Rhode Island made that enormous list. The number one school in the Ocean State ranks 166th nationally, according to U.S. News & World Report.
Rhode Island is ranked 38th in the country for education, based on both higher education and kindergarten through 12th grade, the media company says.
