The Gwinnett County Board of Education is leading a transparent and inclusive search process focused on excellence. As the first step in the process, the BOE will work with Alma Advisory Group (“Alma”) to engage students, families, staff, and the community to develop a candidate profile. This profile will identify the characteristics, skills, and experience needed by the next superintendent of GCPS to address the district’s needs and priorities.
The GCPS community will have multiple opportunities to help shape the profile of our next superintendent. Attending a community gathering in September is one way to share your input.
We want your input!
These meetings are open to the GCPS community. Each gathering will include a brief overview of the search process and then a facilitated small-group discussion designed so that all voices are heard. Each Board of Education member will host a community gathering in their board district, with the Alma Advisory Group team facilitating the discussion. Interpretation and childcare will be available at each meeting. You can register in advance, but everyone is welcome to attend the community gatherings.
