AUBURN — The Senior Lifestyle Expo is set to return.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Kruse Plaza, 5634 Opportunity Blvd., Auburn. Admission is free.
This year’s expo will feature more than 45 vendors.
The event is a one-stop location for people wanting more information about resources and services tailored to the needs of senior citizens.
The event provides an energetic and welcoming atmosphere where older adults, caregivers and family members can engage directly with local providers and organizations. Attendees also have the opportunity to explore a wide range of programs from in-home care and assistance to rehabilitation services, assisted living options and health insurance guidance.
There will be vendors representing health care, insurance, elder law, home remodeling, investments and more. They will answer questions and offer support.
Many attendees find the expo especially useful in helping them navigate the complexities of health care coverage, legal planning and long-term care options.
In addition, the event also prioritizes on-the-spot wellness and safety. Attendees will be able to have their blood pressure and hearing checked by qualified professionals. A secure medication disposal station will also be available to allow guests to safely discard of unused or expired prescriptions.
Joe Justice will provide entertainment. Door prizes will be announced all day. Bingo will also be available.
There will be free coffee and doughnuts in the morning. Boxed lunches will be served beginning at 11 a.m. while supplies last.
This event is sponsored by KPC Media, Bowen Health, DeKalb County Council on Aging, LTC Ombudsman Program, Kruse Plaza, Feller & Clark Funeral Home and Astral at Auburn.
