PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Hundreds gathered on Broad Street Sunday afternoon to celebrate Dominican culture and heritage.
The annual Dominican Festival and Parade took place Sunday afternoon, featuring appearances from several local and community leaders as well as activities and music.
Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI), Governor Dan McKee (D-RI), and Lieutenant Governor Sabina Matos (D-RI) were among those that took part in the parade.
The festival was later held at Roger Williams Park in Providence.
