Great Bay Community College nursing students awarded scholarships by RiverWoods Exeter

PORTSMOUTH — RiverWoods Exeter’s Residents Charitable Funds Committee has awarded $2,500 scholarships to 10 Great Bay Community College nursing students.

This is the eighth year the RiverWoods Exeter residents have supported Great Bay students in their educational pursuits, for a total of over $100,000. The goal of the scholarship is to open students’ minds about the rich variety of career opportunities at RiverWoods.

This year’s recipients are Molly Amundsen, Elizabeth Gardner, Miranda Green, Sarah Greenham, Olivia Groulx, Aggie Halliday, Emmy Lewis, Lydia Mercier, Kylie Sapochetti, and Milena Woods.

Holy Rosary Credit Union recognizes scholarship recipients

ROCHESTER – Holy Rosary Credit Union announced a record 18 recipients of its annual scholarship. The students, including one Spaulding High School (SHS) Banking and Financial Services program scholar, were awarded their scholarships at a ceremony at HRCU’s Rochester branch on June 16.

“Awarding some of our youngest and most deserving members has been a proud tradition dating back 30 years,” said HRCU President and CEO Brian Hughes. “We believe that investing in our youth is an investment in our community and our Annual Scholarship program is just one of the many ways in which we do that.”

The scholarships were presented to recipients in four award categories, including high school or college students, employee children and participants of the HRCU Banking and Financial Services Program at the R.W. Creteau Regional Technology Center. To be eligible, applicants must be HRCU members and meet certain criteria. All applications were completed through a new online portal.

Friends of York Hospital announce 2025 Scholarship recipients

YORK, Maine — The Friends of York Hospital Scholarship Committee announced the 2025 recipients of its annual scholarship program. Open to students from southern Maine and the Seacoast area who plan to pursue careers in health care, this long-standing tradition of support began in 1962. Over the past seven decades, the Friends of York Hospital organization has awarded more than $275,000 in scholarship funds.

This year, three outstanding students from the Class of 2025 have each been awarded $5,000 scholarships for the upcoming academic year. The Friends of York Hospital celebrate the achievements, dedication, and aspirations of these future health care leaders: Keira Alessi, R.W. Traip Academy, Kittery, Maine; Chase Dolan, York High School, York, Maine; and Chloe Madsen, Wells High School, Wells, Maine.

Partners Bank Scholarship awards $34,000 to 22 high school graduates in Maine and New Hampshire

SANFORD, Maine – Partners Bank announced the distribution of $34,000 in scholarships to support graduating high school seniors from area schools across Maine and New Hampshire. These scholarships are designated for students from low- to moderate-income families, helping them pursue higher education and build brighter futures.

The scholarships will be awarded through each school’s scholarship committee, with selections based on student applications submitted through their high school guidance offices. This long-standing initiative underscores Partners Bank’s ongoing commitment to investing in the future of its communities and supporting local youth.
