High Technology High School in Lincroft is the top performing school in Monmouth County, according to an NJ Advance Media analysis of the latest school data.
The new ratings come from the annual School Performance Reports released earlier this spring. Using data from the 2023-24 school year, families can see how their student’s school compares to others around the state. (See the full list of Monmouth County’s school ratings below.)
The school had the highest “summative score” in the county. Summative scores are calculated using standardized test scores, student academic growth, graduation rates and other factors, including chronic absenteeism. The scores are on a scale of 0 to 100.
High Technology High School is also the top ranked high school in the county.
The high school is an admissions based school that accepts students from across the county. It ranks 2nd statewide among high schools that serve grades 9 through 12, according to data from the state Department of Education.
NJ Advance Media used a metric calculated by the state Department of Education called the “summative rating” to assign each high school a ranking number between 1 and 358.
The ratings measure how a school’s summative score compares to other schools with the same grade levels.
Schools without a summative score or schools with modified scores were excluded from the NJ Advance Media rankings.
