The June Culture Crawl will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday in downtown Hamilton with a full slate of art experiences for everyone.
Chapter One Book Store, located at 252 Main St., is hosting author John Crawford, author of “Mountain Man,” “Above it All” and “Adventure Awaits.” He will be in the store discussing his books and writing process from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Art City, 407 Main St., is a cooperatively managed gallery featuring the art of Shirley Sylvester. In Shirley’s show “Montana Fresh” you will find watercolor and oil art pieces, whatever strikes her mood.
Paintings by Shirley Sylvester are currently on exhibit at Art City, 407 Main St., in Hamilton.
Clayworks in the Bitterroot, 325 W Main St., is kicking off their summer season during Culture Crawl with a free hands-on activity making tiles for a community mural. The easy designs are ready to create. The co-op will be offering a selection of workshops and studio time for members and students this summer. If you want to learn more, whether on the wheel or hand building, they have “Clay Your Way” where you decide on time, date and project. Then you will have an instructor to take it from there.
The Bitterroot Art Guild is hosting their “Art in the Park” show at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds featuring 50 Made in Montana Artists. Enjoy Taco Del Sol food and Cool Beanz coffee while you browse the artwork.
Explore the ARTS, 701 Main St., is hosting the Montana Watercolor Society member show. There are 112 original watercolor artworks to feast your eyes on. Lynn Shield of Billings will give a juror talk at 12:30 p.m. Shield will be presenting the awards and discussing why she chose each piece for an award. Arthur Kostuk will be performing on the piano because music and art are good for the soul. Come enjoy.
