“Our annual visits from our friends at Ludoteca are always a highlight, offering incredible performances brimming with history, vibrant colors, and pure joy,” shared Inmaculada Ibanez De Yrigoyen, Human Resources Specialist.
On May 12th and May 13th, Ludoteca once again enriched the District with their visit, delivering captivating cultural presentations at six schools: Berkshire Elementary School, Jupiter Elementary School, Lake Park Elementary School, L.C. Swain Middle School, Clifford O. Taylor/Kirklane Elementary School, and New Horizons Elementary School.
District students enthusiastically enjoyed the engaging performances, immersing themselves in Ecuadorian culture, dance, and traditions. They were also given the opportunity to participate in the dances and receive special souvenirs from the visiting Ludoteca students.
“Welcoming Colegio Ludoteca to share the richness of Ecuadorian culture with our dual language third to fifth grade students was an exceptionally vibrant and invaluable experience, truly bringing their Spanish studies to life,” expressed Gloria Salazar, Principal of Jupiter Elementary School. “This cultural exchange fostered a profound understanding and appreciation for Ecuadorian traditions. For our staff, it underscored the power of global connections and significantly enriched our students’ journey to becoming more culturally aware on a global scale.”
Dr. Carlos Castro, Principal of Lake Park Elementary School, echoed this sentiment.
“Providing our students with the magic of Ludoteca was an absolutely amazing experience,” said Dr. Castro. “Witnessing the pure joy and excitement in their eyes as they cheered and danced alongside the performers is a sight I will always cherish. This type of enriching opportunity creates lasting memories and cultivates a lifelong love for the arts and diverse cultures.”
