Charlotte Flair aka Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr, born in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1986, is a former volleyball player and personal trainer. She won two NCHSAA 4 A-State championships for volleyball and was team captain and player of the year in 2004-2005.
Flair attended Appalachian State University and North Carolina State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in public relations and a certification as a personal trainer. She was ringside for the WWE Women’s Championship main event on Raw in 2004, and in 2016, she and rival Sasha Banks participated in the event.
