TIGER TEXTILES: Roberto Cavalli is doubling down on its offering of home and lifestyle textiles with a new licensing partner.
The Italian luxury brand has inked a multiyear deal with New York-based Designer’s Linen Inc. for the development, production and distribution of home fabrics, beach and bath linens, as well as tabletop products.
The debut collection as part of the partnership was unveiled this month at the Heimtextile trade show in Frankfurt.
Roberto Cavalli’s previous licensee for the same categories was Mirabello Carrara, controlled by Caleffi since 2011.
The American Designer’s Linen Inc. resulted from a partnership between Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited, a leading global textile conglomerate, and American Homes and Textiles Inc., a diversified home textile solutions company based in New York.
Under the creative lead of Fausto Puglisi, Roberto Cavalli, which is marking its 55th anniversary this year, has enjoyed momentum over the past few years, and made a push to expand its product mix.
In Roberto Cavalli’s home division, the brand counts licensing agreements with Oniro Group for interiors and furniture; Gruppo Cerdisa Ricchetti for tiles; Industrie Emiliana Parati for wallpapers, and Compagnia del Cristallo for tableware.

As reported in 2022 the luxury brand revealed a five-year licensing deal with De Rigo for the design, production and global distribution of Roberto Cavalli and Just Cavalli eyewear collections. The first range bowed in 2023.
A year later, in 2023, it switched its fragrance licensee to Inter Parfums Inc. at a time when the Roberto Cavalli fragrance business was estimated to be around $40 million globally, according to industry sources. The license was previously held by Coty Inc.
Other fashion-leaning licenses include Franck Muller for luxury timepieces and pens, as well as TMS Group for their distribution.
Roberto Cavalli is owned by Hussain Sajwani, founder and chairman of the Dubai-based Damac Properties; he owns Cavalli through his private investment company Vision Investments. The fashion brand is led by chief executive officer Sergio Azzolari.
