United Airlines will mark its 10th Fantasy Flight on Guam this year, which creates that special “plane ride” for select children to take them to the “North Pole to see Santa Claus.”
The United Fantasy Flight this year will take off at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 from the A.B. Won Pat International Airport Guam.
This year, the beneficiaries include children from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, C.L. Taitano Elementary School’s Special Education Resource Class, and J.Q. San Miguel Elementary School’s Special Education Resource Class.
Started in 2014, the program gives children a chance to ride a plane that either taxies or flies to another gate or hangar decorated like the North Pole. There, they’re treated to musical performances, snacks and gifts from Santa Claus.
Each year, a large number of United employees volunteer their time to make the Fantasy Flight a reality for children in programs that support the Guam youth.
