MADISON, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Vice Chancellor for Research released a statement Friday following President Donald Trump’s directed many health agencies to pause communications
The order which was released on Tuesday asks US Department of Health and Human Services, US Food & Drug Administration, the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention and National Institutes of Health to have all communications approved by a “presidential appointee before issuing them out.”
Vice Chancellor Dorota A. Grejner-Brzezinska wrote in a statement that the impact that the university’s partners remains “unclear” and are “evolving rapidly.
According to Vice Chancellor Brzezinska, researchers should expect a decline in communication from federal agencies until “this transition is complete.”
The vice chancellor also stated that researchers should continue to operate as normal following the original deadlines.
