LA CROSSE (WKBT) — A local college helped students kickstart their trade careers.
Western Technical College hosted its Construction and Trades Career Fair on Thursday.
The event connected students with over 20 local companies, including Fowler and Hammer, Mathy Construction, and Wieser Brothers.
“It’s a great opportunity for students to connect with employers while they are still in school and figure out a game plan of what jobs they might be interested in once they graduate, make those connections early, and hopefully have a job when they graduate,” said Katie Griffing, Career Services associate, Western Technical College.
Around 30 students took part in the event, which was also open to the public.
