The news comes after several international students from both public and private universities across the nation have had their visas revoked in recent weeks, the Associated Press (AP) reported.
The revocations prompted some students to file lawsuits against the Trump administration, according to the AP, arguing “the government denied them due process when it suddenly took away their permission to be in the U.S.”
Additionally, the AP reported that in a lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security, students argued the government lacked justification to terminate their legal status or cancel their visa.
Earlier this month, some college leaders said the Trump Administration is using “new tactics and vague justifications” to remove some foreign students from the country, per the AP.
