SAUK CITY (WKOW) — A seat has opened up on the Sauk Prairie School District Board of Education.
Tyler Erickson won the election for the seat, but in a Facebook post, the district says because of changes in his work as a firefighter/paramedic, he’s unable to take the seat.
The school board is asking people who live in either the Village of Sauk City or Prairie du Sac to apply, but the deadline is Friday, April 25.
You can submit your name in writing with your home address and phone number to the District Office (440 13th Street) Attn: Melissa Sumwalt.
The School Board will review applicants and may invite candidates to answer questions at the meeting on Monday, April 28. The school board will vote to appoint a candidate to the vacant position.
The appointment is until the next April election. An election to complete the remaining two years of the term will occur in April of 2026.
