Russian leaders told President Donald Trump during a phone call on Monday that they are not sharing intelligence with Iran during the United States’s war on that country, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff said during a CNBC interview on Tuesday.
“We can take them at their word,” Witkoff told CNBC’s “Money Movers.”
“Let’s hope that they’re not sharing,” he said.

Trump spoke with Russian leader Vladimir Putin on Monday.

Asked whether the Russians had been sharing intelligence with Iran, Witkoff demurred.
“Well, I’m not an intelligence officer, so I can’t tell you,” he said.
