Russell Wilson’s not ready to hang up his cleats.
After playing for the New York Giants in 2025, the 37-year-old quarterback is now scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in March, and he plans to continue his NFL career.
“Yeah, I’m not blinking,” Wilson said of his future, via ESPN’s Jordan Raanan. “I know what I’m capable of. I think I showed that in Dallas.”
Wilson completed 73.2% of his passes for 450 yards with three touchdowns against one interception in a 40-37 overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys in September. The Cowboys’ defense later finished the season ranked last in passing yards allowed per game (251.5), third-worst in total yards allowed per contest (377.0) and last in points allowed per game (30.1).
Overall, Wilson went 0-3 as a starter in New York before being benched in favor of rookie Jaxson Dart. Wilson completed 58% of his passes in 2025 for 831 yards with three touchdowns against three interceptions in 2025.
Wilson went 11-19 as a starter with the Denver Broncos from 2022-2023 before being benched and then cut. Before joining the Giants in 2025, Wilson went 6-5 as a starter with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024. After releasing Wilson, the Broncos made the NFL playoffs in each of the last two seasons despite eating the largest dead money salary cap hit in NFL history.
After parting with Wilson, Denver drafted Bo Nix, who just tied Wilson for the most wins through a QB’s first two seasons (24) after beginning his career with a 24-10 record.
