Campbell University announced a new partnership this week between the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections and Campbell Adult and Online Education that will provide discounted tuition for NCDAC employees pursuing online undergraduate and graduate degree programs or through the University’s Fort Bragg, Pope Air Force Base and Camp Lejeune campuses.
Through this collaboration, NCDAC staff will have increased access to high-quality, flexible and affordable education designed to support professional growth and career advancement, said AOE Dean Nicole M. Winget. The partnership, she added, reflects a shared commitment to strengthening North Carolina’s workforce by investing in the ongoing education and development of dedicated public servants.
“This partnership is a meaningful example of how higher education and public service institutions can work together to create opportunities that benefit individuals, agencies, and communities across the state,” Winget said. “By expanding access to affordable online degree programs, we are helping NCDAC employees gain new skills and credentials while continuing their vital work.”
The initiative supports workforce development efforts across North Carolina by enabling employees to pursue higher education without interrupting their professional responsibilities. At the same time, it advances Campbell University’s mission to lead with purpose, service, and innovation in education.
Winget said the partnership also aligns with Campbell University’s Second Chance Initiative, which reflects the university’s long-standing commitment to education as a transformative force — one that promotes professional growth, leadership development and positive outcomes for individuals and communities alike.
“Campbell University is honored to work alongside the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections to expand educational access, strengthen the state’s workforce and support those who serve North Carolina every day,” Winget said.
NCDAC staff members who are interested in learning more about this opportunity are encouraged to contact the Campbell University Adult and Online Education dean’s office at aoedeansoffice@campbell.edu for additional information.
