Epiphany Dance Collective performs at local school
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Students at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School are learning more about Black history.
Friday, students got to experience some traditional African drumming and dancing thanks to the Epiphany Dance Collective.
Students learned about different dances and instruments while getting to take part themselves. School leaders say the assembly helped students learn about different cultures.
The Epiphany Dance Collective is an African dance company located in Indianapolis, founded in 2010. According to the group’s website, the performers are dedicated to the cultivation of West African dance.
